Disney's Hollywood Studios Characters 2024

Disney Hollywood Studios is a magical destination where guests can immerse themselves in the world of their favorite Disney movies. Getting your picture with your favorite character is just one of the many things you can do at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. From classic icons like Mickey Mouse to newer favorites from Pixar and Star Wars, the park offers many opportunities for guests to interact with beloved characters. These meet and greets provide a unique and memorable way for visitors to create lasting memories and connections with the magic of Disney. Here is some information about the characters and where you can find them.

Please note that times are subject to change. Please check Walt Disney World’s website, the My Disney Experience app, or ask a Cast Member in the parks for accurate information.

Classic Characters

Mickey Mouse

When at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Mickey Mouse likes to wear his Sorcerer’s Apprentice outfit from Fantasia. You can find him at the Red Carpet Dreams building, across from the Sci-Fi Diner. While Mickey and Minnie don’t meet together, they can be found in the same spot. Mickey meets guests from park opening to 8:00pm. There will be, on average, a 30 minute wait.

Minnie Mouse

Minnie Mouse is meeting guests right next to Mickey, in the Red Carpet Dreams building across from the Sci-Fi Diner. Since this is Hollywood Studios, she has dressed for the occasion and wear a pink evening gown worthy of a red carpet event. She meets guests from park opening to 8:00pm. There will be, on average, a 30 minute wait.

Chip and Dale

These two lovable chipmunks meet guests in the Animation Courtyard area at 4:00pm. They are only out for a short time, so keep an eye out for them on the My Disney Experience App if they are a high priority for you.

Pluto

Pluto has his own meet and greet area next to the Disney Junior characters in the Animation Courtyard. He meets guests all throughout the morning and into the late afternoon.

Princesses

Ariel (from the 2023 live-action film)

Ariel has donned her human legs to meet guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! You can find her in the Walt Disney Presents theater from 9:00am-4:30pm. After 4:30pm, the theater is used to show the short film One Man’s Dream. To find out more about where you can meet the princesses at Walt Disney World, check out this article.

Olaf

(Okay, Olaf isn’t technically a Disney Princess. But he is in a Disney Princess movie, so we’ll go ahead and count him here.) You can find Olaf the snowman at Celebrity Spotlight, located in Echo Lake near Vacation Fun. Olaf meets from approximately park opening to 6:00pm. Since Olaf is a popular character, it is not unusual for wait times to meet him to reach over half an hour long. You might have more luck with a shorter wait time after 3:00pm. Remember to give him a warm hug!

Pixar Characters

Woody, Buzz, and Jessie

Woody, Buzz and Jessie meet guests periodically in Toy Story Land. You can usually find them near the big Woody and Toy Story Land sign. Sometimes you will see all three together, sometimes you might see just one character by themselves. Be sure to ask a cast member for up-to-date information on who will be out that day. These characters are beloved by many generations, so you may have to put your patience pants on and wait in line for a photo op.

The Incredibles

If you wander down the avenue of Pixar Place, you may come across some incredible characters! Mr. and Mrs. Incredible can be seen periodically. There is a patterned wall at the end of the street. This is where Mr. and Mrs. Incredible take pictures with guests.

Edna Mode

From park open to 5:00pm, Edna Mode is meeting guests at the Edna Mode Experience in Pixar Place.  Her meet and greet area is filled with her most stylish superhero designs. Remember, no capes!

Frozone

Frozone also has his own photo op in Pixar Place. A little ways down, there is a blue wall with snowflakes on it. This is where Frozone meets guests throughout the day.

Sully

At the very end of Pixar Place are some colorful, patterned walls. This is where you can find Sully from Monsters, Inc. He greets guests throughout the day.

The Green Army Men

If you are wandering around Toy Story Land throughout the day, chances are you’ll come across the Green Army Drum Corps. The Green Army Men march around the land and play drums while on the lookout for any danger. This is not a traditional meet and greet, but on occasion the Green Army Men will take photos with guests, so long as you don’t blow their cover.

Star Wars Launch Bay Characters

BB8

This little droid can be found inside Star Wars Launch Bay, from about 10:00am to 6:00pm. On average, there will be a 15 minute wait.

Chewbacca

Chewie meets guests from 10:00am to 6:00pm inside Star Wars Launch Bay. Wait times to see this Wookiee can get up to 20 minutes.

Darth Vader

Dark Father is located in the Star Wars Launch Bay building from 10:00am to 6:00pm. He is a popular character, so sometimes his lines can be longer than BB8 or Chewbacca.

Disney Jr. Characters

The best way for kids to see Disney Junior characters is at the Disney Junior Dance Party. This is an interactive character experience detailed in this post. But if you are wanting a cute pic with these pals, then you can see them outside of the theater for a meet and greet. Just inside the Animation Courtyard, you can meet many Disney Junior pals like Doc McStuffins, Fancy Nancy, and Vamprina. These characters each have their own little photo op area. They are meeting guests from approximately half an hour after park open to the late afternoon.

A Complete List of Disney Animated Movies

So, you want to know or watch every Disney animated movie ever? Disney Darling Blog has a comprehensive list of Disney movies, broken. down by the studio from which the films were produced.   Disney Animation Studios When most people think of "Disney movies", they are probably referring to Disney Animation Studios films. These movies were made from Disney's official animation studio and theatrically released.  At the time of writing, Disney Animation Studios (DAS) has released 61 movies. In this list, these movies are broken down by era. The Golden Era starts off with the massively successful Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The movies in this era were critically acclaimed and helped establish Walt Disney as a serious filmmaker.  During WWII, the Disney movie studio struggled. To save money, many films were made up of a compilation of cartoon shorts. This era is referred to the Package Era, or sometimes the Wartime Era.  With the war over, D...

A Review of Tinkerbell

One day my friends decided to Disney Bound as the fairies. They asked me which one I wanted to be and I had no clue. I had never seen a Tinkerbell / Fairies movie despite that the franchise was already 8 years old. But after a brief description of the fairies from my friends, I decided to go as Silvermist, the water fairy.  That was a year ago. Just recently I decided it was about time for me to check out this franchise. So I sat down and watched 2008's Tinkerbell. It was not as bad as I anticipated. Sure, there were some cheesy moments and the animation was crude. The movie's strong point was the voice acting of all the different characters. Tinkerbell has an all star cast with Kristen Chenoweth, Lucy Lui, Raven Simone and Jesse McCartney. Tinkerbell is voiced by none other than Mae Whitman. I am a big fan of Mae and she did not disappoint. I also really liked all the different characters, each with their unique talents and personalities. I think little girls could easil...

5 Things I Will NEVER Do At Walt Disney World's Epcot

Epcot is a unique park to the Walt Disney World resort. There’s plenty of rides to ride, shows to watch, food to eat, and alcohol to be consumed. However, there are just some things that I choose to skip at Epcot. Here are the things that I will NEVER do at Epcot: Start in Mexico There is a great debate amongst Epcot fans: start in Canada or Mexico? I am firmly on team Canada. Mexico is a fabulous pavilion, and I like to end on a high note. Plus, the drunker you are, the more exponentially fun the Mexican boat ride is, so you have to save that for last. When it’s the Food and Wine Festival, I love starting in Canada to get some cheese soup first thing. I dream about that soup, and I don’t want to wait all day long to have it.  I also love starting in France from the International Gateway. As long as we don’t start in Mexico! Forget to thank the Phoenicians Did you know that the giant golf ball at Epcot has a ride inside? It’s called Spaceship Earth, and it’s the park centerpiece at...

Walt Disney World Parks: The Basics

Are you planning a trip to Walt Disney World? Or just want to learn more about the parks and don't know where to start? Disney Darling breaks down the basics for you! Disneyland vs. Walt Disney World Disneyland and Disney World are two different parks, located on opposite sides of the country. As mentioned in this post , it is a common misconception that Disneyland and Disney World are the same thing.  Disneyland is the first Disney theme park ever, opening in 1955. It is located in Anaheim, California, near Los Angeles.  Disneyland has two different parks: Disneyland Park (with the castle), and Disney's California Adventure (or DCA). Disneyland also has three hotels and the Downtown Disney shopping district.  Walt Disney World is located in Bay Lake, Florida, near Orlando. It opened in 1971, after Walt's passing. Walt Disney World has 4 different theme parks, 2 water parks, 28 hotels, and the Disney Springs shop...
