Your Guide To The Shows At Epcot In Walt Disney World

When creating my guide to attractions at Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom, I included an extensive list of shows performed at these parks for guests to enjoy. However, when sitting down to write my guide to attractions at Epcot, I quickly realized I may need to take a different approach. Epcot has so many shows that they deserve their own post.

Shows are quintessential to Epcot. From the atmospheric entertainment that livens the World Showcase to technologically advanced character experiences, Epcot leans into the “edu-tainment” pillar of the park with its shows.

Some shows are an absolute highlight of your day at Epcot, while some are just nice ways to take a break sitting down inside for a few minutes. Take a look through this list and see fi there is anything you wish to prioritize when building your itinerary for Epcot. Even if you do not prioritize these shows, it is nice to know where and what these are and maybe pop in for a quick activity.

Future World

Awesome Planet

This is a short film about the biomes on Earth. It is located in the Land Pavilion. This show is not near the top of anybody’s must-do list, but it is a way to spend 10 minutes sitting down inside the air conditioning.

Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival

Replacing Captain EO in the Magic Eye Theater is the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival. This is a 4D experience featuring 3 short cartoons. The show lasts about 20 minutes, and is great for small kids or animation lovers of all ages.

Turtle Talk With Crush

Ever wanted to have a conversation with a Disney character? Here’s your chance! Turtle Talk with Crush is am interactive, comedic Q&A session with the ocean’s coolest dude. You may have seen the TikTok/Shorts/Reels online from this show, and it is hilarious. This show is only about 15 minutes long, and it is located inside the Seas Pavilion.

Jammitors

If you are strolling through Future World throughout the day, you may come across the Jammitors. These custodians play sick beats on makeshift trashcan drums. This is a fun show to catch if you can.

World Showcase

The American Adventure

Named after the pavilion it resides in, this show honors moments and figures in American history through animatronics, moving sets, and lighting effects. This is a 30 minute show that will hit any patriot in the feels.

The Voices of Liberty

This choir gathers to perform inside the American Adventure Pavilion building to sing some patriotic tunes. Some guests say that this show is a hidden gem and one of the best shoes at Epcot. The Voices of Liberty perform every 45 minutes, starting at 11:15am.

Beauty and the Beast Sing-a-long/ Impressions de France

Located in the middle of the France Pavilion is a theater that rotates between two films. The first one is a Beauty and the Beast sing-a-long. The queue features one of Belle’s dresses from Beauty and the Beast (2017) and a glass slipper from Cinderella (2015). Any Disney Princess lover needs to at least venture into the theater lobby. In the evening, this film is switched for Impression de France, which is a documentary about different locations in the country. Each film is about 20 minutes long. If you wish to catch either of these films, check showtimes for accuracy in planning.

Canada Far and Wide

Using Circle-Vision 360 technology, this film offers a unique viewing experience. Instead of just one screen on one wall, you will be surrounded by screens on all sides. This theater does not have seating so you can turn and see everything. This show is about 15 minutes long and features the provinces and territories of Canada.

Atmospheric Entertainment

Most pavilions in the World Showcase have their own live entertainment at different times throughout the day. There are drummers in Japan, acrobats in France, and a mariachi band in Mexico. You may be able to find specific times for these performances, but most guests prefer to stumble upon them unplanned while walking through the World Showcase.

Nighttime Show

Luminous - The Symphony of Us

This nighttime show debuted in late 2023, and is often described as a mashup between the previous shows of Illuminations and Harmonious. It utilizes fireworks, lights, and music around the World Showcase lagoon. The show starts at the time the park closes, which means most guests stay for the fireworks before exiting. Since the fireworks can be viewed from anywhere around the World Showcase, there is no need to camp out an hour early for a “good” spot, unless you really want to. Popular spots to watch are between Canada and Mexico, and the bridge between France and the U.K. Disney’s firework shows are an absolute must-do for any visit, and Luminous is no exception. If you plan to see any show mentioned in this post, see this one.

Adding Shows To Your Itinerary

When planning your day at Epcot, you’ll want to consider shows. If shows are important to you, consider making a few of them a priority. For kids, I recommend Turtle Talk With Crush, which can be seen after riding the Finding Nemo ride and exploring the Seas Pavilion. Another show that may make your must-do list is the American Adventure. This can be done as you make your way around the World Showcase.

Mostly though, I recommend going with the flow. Epcot has so much atmospheric entertainment. You’ll never know when you’ll stumble upon talented performers. It’s so fun to wander around the World Showcase with a drink or some yummy snacks and stop for a minute as you watch the performers. This is why I recommend not planning your itinerary down to the second. Be open to explore, and you’ll have a magical day at Epcot.

A Complete List of Disney Animated Movies

So, you want to know or watch every Disney animated movie ever? Disney Darling Blog has a comprehensive list of Disney movies, broken. down by the studio from which the films were produced.   Disney Animation Studios When most people think of "Disney movies", they are probably referring to Disney Animation Studios films. These movies were made from Disney's official animation studio and theatrically released.  At the time of writing, Disney Animation Studios (DAS) has released 61 movies. In this list, these movies are broken down by era. The Golden Era starts off with the massively successful Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The movies in this era were critically acclaimed and helped establish Walt Disney as a serious filmmaker.  During WWII, the Disney movie studio struggled. To save money, many films were made up of a compilation of cartoon shorts. This era is referred to the Package Era, or sometimes the Wartime Era.  With the war over, D...

A Review of Tinkerbell

One day my friends decided to Disney Bound as the fairies. They asked me which one I wanted to be and I had no clue. I had never seen a Tinkerbell / Fairies movie despite that the franchise was already 8 years old. But after a brief description of the fairies from my friends, I decided to go as Silvermist, the water fairy.  That was a year ago. Just recently I decided it was about time for me to check out this franchise. So I sat down and watched 2008's Tinkerbell. It was not as bad as I anticipated. Sure, there were some cheesy moments and the animation was crude. The movie's strong point was the voice acting of all the different characters. Tinkerbell has an all star cast with Kristen Chenoweth, Lucy Lui, Raven Simone and Jesse McCartney. Tinkerbell is voiced by none other than Mae Whitman. I am a big fan of Mae and she did not disappoint. I also really liked all the different characters, each with their unique talents and personalities. I think little girls could easil...

5 Things I Will NEVER Do At Walt Disney World's Epcot

Epcot is a unique park to the Walt Disney World resort. There’s plenty of rides to ride, shows to watch, food to eat, and alcohol to be consumed. However, there are just some things that I choose to skip at Epcot. Here are the things that I will NEVER do at Epcot: Start in Mexico There is a great debate amongst Epcot fans: start in Canada or Mexico? I am firmly on team Canada. Mexico is a fabulous pavilion, and I like to end on a high note. Plus, the drunker you are, the more exponentially fun the Mexican boat ride is, so you have to save that for last. When it’s the Food and Wine Festival, I love starting in Canada to get some cheese soup first thing. I dream about that soup, and I don’t want to wait all day long to have it.  I also love starting in France from the International Gateway. As long as we don’t start in Mexico! Forget to thank the Phoenicians Did you know that the giant golf ball at Epcot has a ride inside? It’s called Spaceship Earth, and it’s the park centerpiece at...

Walt Disney World Parks: The Basics

Are you planning a trip to Walt Disney World? Or just want to learn more about the parks and don't know where to start? Disney Darling breaks down the basics for you! Disneyland vs. Walt Disney World Disneyland and Disney World are two different parks, located on opposite sides of the country. As mentioned in this post , it is a common misconception that Disneyland and Disney World are the same thing.  Disneyland is the first Disney theme park ever, opening in 1955. It is located in Anaheim, California, near Los Angeles.  Disneyland has two different parks: Disneyland Park (with the castle), and Disney's California Adventure (or DCA). Disneyland also has three hotels and the Downtown Disney shopping district.  Walt Disney World is located in Bay Lake, Florida, near Orlando. It opened in 1971, after Walt's passing. Walt Disney World has 4 different theme parks, 2 water parks, 28 hotels, and the Disney Springs shop...
