Women in Disney History

When people think of the Walt  Disney company, they probably think of Michael Eisner, the Nine Old Men, or Walt and Roy themselves. These men may be the most famous in Disney history, but a lot of women have also helped paved the path towards  success for the company. Here are some Disney women that deserve to be recognized:  Unnamed Ink and Painters Due to stereotypes about women, originally they could only be found in secretarial roles or in the ink and paint department at the Walt Disney Studios. Women were believed to be detail-oriented (but not smart or creative enough for animating jobs) which is why they seemed like a perfect fit for ink and paint. Animators would draw the characters, but the ink and paint girls will fill in the colors. It was a very methodical job. The company even hired other employees to stand over the shoulders of the painters and time them to keep track of their progress. Even though the ink and paint ladies were often overlooked, they deserve credit for he

Starbucks At Walt Disney World: Locations, Hours, Tips, and More!

Starbucks is the most recognizable coffee chain in the world. Some people have a Starbucks every day, so why should vacation be any different? Luckily for the caffeine-cravers, there are Starbucks at Walt Disney World.  Where is Starbucks located at Walt Disney World? If you're looking for a caffeine fix, you won’t have to look far. There are 6 Starbucks locations in Walt Disney World. There is one in each of the four theme parks, and two in Disney Springs. The Starbucks in the four theme parks may be tricky to locate as they go by a different name in each park to fit the theming.  Magic Kingdom Starbucks The Starbucks at Magic Kingdom is named Main Street Bakery. It is located on Main Street, USA. When you first enter the park, stay to the right. The Main Street Bakery will be next to the Crystal Arts shop.  Just like the rest of Main Street, this Starbucks is themed after a turn-of-the-century bakery. There is no seating in this Starbucks, so you’ll get your order to go. But that

Walt Disney World 2024: Disney's' Hollywood Studios

Disney's Hollywood Studios, one of the four major theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, has been an iconic destination for entertainment enthusiasts since its opening in 1989. As we look ahead to 2024, the park continues to evolve and captivate visitors with its unique blend of movie magic, immersive experiences, and beloved characters. 2024 will see some updated attractions and special event dates at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  New Little Mermaid Show The Voyage of The Little Mermaid is one of Hollywood Studio’s longest running stage shows. Like the rest of the parks, it closed in 2020. However, guests noticed its absence once everything else opened. With the show being closed for so long, rumors started to spread. Last year, Disney Darling even predicted an overhaul of Animation Courtyard. It seems that won’t be happening for a few more years (if ever).  Recently, Disney announced the return of a Little Mermaid show. This one will be called Th

Walt Disney World Without Genie+

Last year, Disney introduced its new Genie+ system. Basically, Genie+ is the replacement for FastPass, except you have to pay to use it now. The FastPass system has been a staple in many Disney trips for 20 years. I myself was a huge advocate. But doing Disney without Genie+ or Lighting Lane is totally possible. Many people have reported on forums that Genie+ is definitely a bonus and not at all a requirement. Here are some tips for a Walt Disney World vacation WITHOUT Genie+: Check Wait Times Walt Disney World's app is a must for every trip. On the app, you can check wait times for every attraction across the resort. You many want to download the app a few weeks before your trip and take note of the wait times throughout the days leading up to your visit to get an idea of when the parks are the most crowded.  Some rides like The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will have a permanent hour-long wait no matter what.  Some rides like Splash Mountain (Tiana's Version) hit their peak during
